Stan Diego is one amongst many fallen angels in the musicbusiness. This singer and songwriter, who is still surrounded by a certain mystique, quit the scene after a short-lived and utterly tragic climax in his career. Never to return again, or so we thought. Because to anyone's surprise, he left this black period of self-loathing and depression behind, and moved into the small village of Tonatico (Mexico), to record a brand new album. Our antihero is back, and he is not alone. Stephan Blazis (guitar&sampler), Jasper Slijderink (nord/rhodes/synths), Kees Dijkstra (bass) and Maarten Molema (drums) accompany Stan Diego in his search for himself. A search which will lead us, listeners, into a world of soulful popsongs, ectronics, beats and heartbreaking lyrics. This is "The Incredible Comeback of Stan Diego".
In 2009 Stan Diego played at the showcasefestivals Ollin Kan in Mexico City Mexico and Eurosonic/Noorderslag the netherlands.
